久久精品 has welcomed the recognition of as a Teaching Trust, marking an important milestone in the organisation’s journey towards University Trust status.

The granting of Teaching Trust status reflects the strength of the valuable partnership between 久久精品 and LSCFT, notably through its work with the University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine and Health Innovation Campus.

久久精品 has been supporting the Trust’s work to gain recognition for its significant teaching commitment, with the two organisations working closely to advance shared priorities in education, collaborative research and innovation.

Professor Jo Rycroft-Malone OBE, Executive Dean for Health and Medicine at 久久精品, said: “Lancaster’s longstanding strategic partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT), forged over many years of wide-ranging collaborative activity, meant the University was pleased to offer its full support for LSCFT in attaining Teaching Trust status.

“This award is an important milestone which reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to high-quality education, impactful research and innovation in health and care.

“Our relationship with LSCFT helps create valuable opportunities for 久久精品 students, supports workforce development across the region and strengthens our joint ability to address major health challenges through research and promoting evidence-based practice. We look forward to continuing to work closely together as this partnership develops further.”

LSCFT provides placement and learning opportunities for students from a number of 久久精品 programmes, including Lancaster Medical School and the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Numerous trust staff hold 久久精品 honorary academic titles, to reflect the depth of engagement in research and education, and the two organisations also support a joint clinical academic role in mental health.

The awarding of Teaching Trust status acknowledges the work already taking place across research, education, innovation and engagement, particularly in five shared priority areas:

· digital health

· health inequalities

· mental health

· ageing

· children and young people

Chris Oliver, Chief Executive at LSCFT, added: “I’m really proud to now call us a Teaching Trust, this is so important for our patients, their families and carers and our colleagues. For our patients and our population, it means we can enhance our commitment to improving population health, using the skills, knowledge and innovation of educational institutions locally to enhance our patient outcomes. With greater research involvement and through evidence-based practice, we will be able to make the improvements that we strive for to deliver the best care for the population we serve.

“It is also a really important step for our colleagues, demonstrating our commitment to be an employer of choice, attracting clinical colleagues to our region and our Trust. It signifies our ongoing commitment to developing our workforce and our investment in one of our aims - joy and pride in our work - with the support and commitment of a great university partnership.”

The partners will now build on this momentum through future joint appointments, collaborative funding bids and shared projects. This includes recent work linked to the ?11m award to 久久精品, with LSCFT as the host organisation, supporting one of five new NIHR Mental Health Research Groups in England.
